Today we welcome Superwoman, who is the mother of a now 4 1/2 year old girl.
What motivated you to breastfeed?
I didn’t have a job at the time and knew it was better for my baby.
What is the history of breastfeeding like in your family?
Not too sure but I know I was breastfed.
What was your attitude toward breastfeeding before having done it yourself?
People told me it would hurt at first but i was willing to sacrifice my nipples to give my baby the best!
What were the early days of breastfeeding like?
HARD!!! But after you get the hang of it it’s not so bad.
What was easiest about breastfeeding?
The easy part is that you don’t have to wait for a bottle to cool or get to the perfect temp. Also you never had to worry about running out of milk at 3 am!!!
How long did you breastfeed?
I did it for 3 months.
How did you learn to breastfeed?
My mom and the lactation consultant I had…she was great!
Who has been your biggest supporter about breastfeeding?
Sad to say… the baby’s father…because he didn’t want to buy milk either! But he would get a little saddened when it was time for her to eat and he couldn’t really help. So he would hold her there for me.
Is there anything that you wish you would have done differently?
I would definitely [have eaten] better to have kept producing more milk.
What would you say to a woman who is unsure about whether or not to breastfeed?
It was the best thing I could have done for my baby without her even knowing.
Thank u for sharing. I’m excited to have found this site & looking forward to following it.
